Halogen Light Bulb - Includes halogen gas with particles of tungsten with a lighting process extending the lamp's life and making the light whiter and brighter.

Incandescent: Light bulb with a conductive filament with a gas in the bulb creating the filament to glow.

Low Voltage Lights: Use 12 to 50 volts (Standard light bulbs use 120 volts of electricity)

Can Lighting is known as Recessed Lighting: Light fixtures installed flush in ceilings. A second location for can or recessed lighting is the lower ceiling above kitchen cabinets. The can lighting may also be installed in the interior of cabinets that are open and even with the surrounding areas.

Skylight: An opening into a home through the roof where the sun's light is illuminates. Skylights are covered with flat glass and may be compared to windows only placed into the roof. Skylights may also be covered with a plastic dome.

Sliding Window Lite: Compare to a double hung window on its side. A lite in a window is also one section of glass.

Soffit (Light Support): Soffits in kitchens are just below the ceiling which is often used to support the kitchen's cabinets. Soffits often include can lighting and recessed lighting.

Divided Light Window: A window with multiple glass panes which are divided and held together by muntins (strips between the glass lites)
