26' Kitchen Triangle is often stated to be the length desired when planning a new kitchen and the kitchen's triangle length.

Is 24' The New Kitchen Triangle Length?
Another source stated 24' to be the max length for a kitchen's triangle. Modern kitchen's with multiple cooks may have other factors which apply to make this standard kitchen triangle length not applicable. Understand - Planning a new kitchen's triangle length is very important! Why?

:D Kitchen Triangle Math Lesson Of The Year!
Math Lesson Time! Hopefully this math lesson will help those of your planning a new kitchen to understand why an efficient kitchen's triangle is so very important.

26' or 24' Kitchen Layout
No Big Deal?

:-) 2' really is not a big deal.
My point - Inefficient kitchens - Are a big deal!

26' - 24' = 2' Extra.

500 = average times a day cook paces the kitchen's triangle.

2' x 500 = 1000 feet per day

1000 feet per day x 365 days of the year

365,000 feet per year!

72 - 76 years - Average person's life time.

Going with the lower number - 72.
72 x 365,000 = 26,280,000 million extra feet!

26,280,000 million extra feet walked with only two extra feet added to the total kitchen triangle length in one person's life time!

:D Looking at the bright side of things
- It is only 4,978 extra miles!

Does this help to visualize the importance of an efficient kitchen?
What if the kitchen triangle layout length added 10 extra feet?
- You Will Get Your Exercise! -

That is enough math for a while for the writer. Feel to free to substitute your own numbers and give us feedback!
