To Avoid The Most Common Injuries to Remodelers and Builders:
Jobsite-Safety-Check-List

Keep electrical setup safe, circuits properly loaded , and electrical outlets are grounded properly.
Read labels for solvents, cleaners, paints, and provide proper ventilation when working with products.
Read tool manufacturers instructions and WARNINGS!
Use Push Sticks for table saws and joiner planers.
(Many, many Fingers Lost! Eventually an accident will happen!)
Silly Serious Mistake - Remember to remove the key from the drill press and drills before starting it.
Let the tool do the work.
Check if adjustments are needed on tools before using
Example: (Table Saw Rip Fence).
Clamp small pieces to a bench or to another piece of wood before sawing or drilling.
Wear the right gloves and protection for chemicals and construction.
Wear Eye Protection! (A MUST MUST for working with power tools, especially concrete, and metal)

Keep Hands Away
Hold Circular Saws with both hands (You know where the second hand is as well as creating a straighter cut)
! Common Finger Removal Problem !
For Large Drills- Use the handle option. (I learned personally - Snapped my wrist with a 1/2" Milwaukee Drill)
Verify local building codes.
Stay away from Power Tools when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Cut small pieces off of larger pieces instead of trying to re-cut a small block of wood or small piece of pipe.
Unplug Power Cords when changing a blade or bit!
(Is 5 Seconds really worth your hand?)
Good Lighting
Avoid Loose Clothing
Avoid dull tools. Keep tool blades, bits, and edges sharp.
Have workpieces firmly supported and clamped securely.
Avoid sawing between sawhorses (Kick Back Horror Stories)
Supporting workpieces with your leg when sawing
Remove sharp and pointed tools from your pocket.
Use proper tool belts or tool buckets for such items.
