What is the best way to fix a sagging gate?

It is attached to my house?
The previous owner of our house built a 6 foot wooden fence and attached the hinge post of the gate to the house with some kind of bolt. The hinge post is a two by four and is pulling away from the house from the weight of the gate. I am unable to tighten or remove the existing bolts holding the gate to the house. I don't know what kind of bolt he used. I figure my only option is either to drill new holes and put new bolts, or to hold the gate up or to somehow attach a wheel or caster to the bottom of the gate. The outside of the fence is grass but the inside of the fence and the direction the gate opens is cement though the hinge post itself is set on the grass. Because the gate is dragging on the cement, it is gradually pulling off the fence boards of the gate and nails are holding well any more.

What is the best way to solve this problem and fix this gate? Thanks.

Restructuring the gate may be good.
Sounds like you have the right idea otherwise with predrilling for the hinges. Hardware sites also have hardware available for gates... neat stuff.
Gate kits are adjustable.

Use a chain saw. :!:

Gates make great firewood.

Then call up up a builder and have em build you a new gate.

A Ax works. My truck in reverse at 15 miles an hour could also work just fine. Might even land the darn thing right in my truck box!

Watch out though.
I cut off the tip of finger with a chain saw .... dangerous things man. :!:
Learn about safety.
Inspector will probably list off some safety sites to teach us all a thing or two now.
.. Just be careful cause it could have been worse.

Gate hardware has lots and lots of options.
Good links stated! I always just Google in my search terms to find answers. Those were in the Google list! Thought I would add a link but after two tries .... you win.

Now I will Disagree!
Smaller hardware stores have cool hardware also!

Go to Hardware Hank!
Ace is the place
True Value
Tractor Supply ... I like smaller hardware stores myself for buying products like gate hardware.

You don't have to wait for delivery, you can return what you don't use which is always good for me cause I don't know what hardware I'm gonna buy so I buy three of everything!
