We just go to our local inspectors and ask em what we need to know cause they already KNOW IT ALL anyway!

Hope they come in handy for some - you are correct however that talking to your Local Building Inspector is more useful usually and your Best Source of Information if you are considering building or remodeling do talk to your local building inspector first and ask his or her opinion.
