Drywall Check List

Prior To Start of Drywalling
R.O. Opening Sizes Verified - By General Contractor or Builder -

Ceiling Texture Verified w/ Homeowner — Most Popular - Crow’s Foot
Wall Texture Verified — Popular - No Texture

Adhesive and right amount of fasteners are on all sheets.

All Fasteners not covered by Corner Bead or at corners are shanks or screw fasteners.

Closet Opening / Verify if Drywall Wrap desired-

Window Style / Verify if Drywall Wrap desired-

Garage Drywall/ Finishing Desires were Verified.

General Contractor - Verify - All Insulation desired is in place. (Floor, Ceiling, Walls)
General Contractor - Verify - All Electrical is in place.
General Contractor - Verify - All Phone & Internet Lines are installed.
General Contractor - Verify - All Cable Lines are installed.
General Contractor - Verify - Central Vacuum System installed .
General Contractor - Verify - Speaker Wire runs Installed *
General Contractor - Verify - R. O. ’s were double checked.

Verify
Green Sticker
Framing Rough In Inspection is approved.

All Outlets, Switches, Lights, are Cut out.
None are missed– Write Down the Locations prior to starting room-
This 5 to 10 Minutes is worth the time invested and Saves Time.

Window and Door Openings are Plumbed and Leveled.

Brick and stone Locations Verified — Drywall tight or desires verified w/ Contractor-

Nice Corners - Windows Door Openings

Wall to wall Sheets as possible

Eliminate Joints over windows as possible Verify and Confirm Information with Contractor or Homeowner when in doubt.

Clean UP Site
Clean Installed Materials at Project Completion

Home Owner
We encourage you to walk around with the sub-contractor or Contractor and Verify that everything is to your satisfactory before signing this form.

Drywall Crew

Drywalling is a skill. When remodeling our basement I hated drywalling because I didn't cut the sheets a little bit short where the next sheet would cover the corner anyway. I helped out a buddy drywalling and it went a lot better. I think by the next time I drywall I may be getting close to being a pro!

Use Screws. Do it right. A friend of mine wanted to use nails. They are a pain and break the paper. Use Screws, screw using nails and if ya do use em on the seams and double em up making sure there is glue behind the drywall.

The drywall screw guns the drywallers use are cool.

Don't go too deep and stop pushing the screw in at the right depth. The drywallers screw guns are Loud and noisy but fast and better than nails - Good points.
